HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

What’s special about October 31st? It’s Halloween! I’m sure you had a fantastic time at school today. Did you wear costumes?

In England they also celebrate this festival. Children dress up and go trick or treating around their neighbourhood. If they see a lit pumpkin at the doorstep it means they can knock on the door and ask for sweets. 

Many families decorate their houses and do fun activities like carving a pumpkin! Did you ever try to do so? Your teacher did and this is the result.

¿ Qué tiene de especial el 31 de Octubre?¡ Es Halloween! Seguro que lo habéis pasado genial en el “cole” hoy. ¿ Os habéis disfrazado?

En Inglaterra también celebran esta festividad. Los niños se disfrazan y van por las casas del vecindario preguntando: Trick or Treat? ( ¿Truco o trato/dulce?) Si ven una calabaza encendida en la puerta significa que pueden llamar y pedir caramelos.

Muchas familias decoran sus casas y hacen actividades divertidas como vaciar y tallar una calabaza. ¿ Lo habéis intentado alguna vez? Vuestra profe sí y este es el resultado.

UNIVERSITY OF CHICHESTER

You already know my new house but now I’d like you to see my college (school for adults). It’s called Chichester University ( Bognor Regis Campus).

It is very big and it has several buildings. There are a lot of gardens and squirrels too. 

Ya conocéis mi nueva casa pero ahora quiero que veáis mi facultad (el “cole” para los mayores). Se llama Universidad de Chichester (Campus de Bognor Regis). 

Es muy grande y tiene varios edificios. Hay muchos jardines y ardillas también.

Hello, buddies! How are you? Here we are in… Do you know where we are?….

YES! It’s London. I love this city, it’s fantastic!

We visited lots of different places: Tower Bridge, St. Paul’s Cathedral, The Tower of London, Trafalgar Square, The Big Ben…

We also went to street markets as famous as Camden or Brick Lane.

I hope you enjoy the photos. Joanmi and I had a wonderful time in this beautiful city. See you soon.

MY NEW HOUSE

Hello, friends! Here’s our house. It’s very cute. It’s got three bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen, a living room, a garage and two gardens with lots of flowers! We live at number 2, Mornington Crescent as you can see in the picture.

 We live with an old woman. She’s very kind.

¡Hola, amigos! Aquí está nuestra casa. Es muy “mona”. Tiene tres habitaciones, un baño, una cocina, un salón, un garaje y ¡dos jardines con muchas flores! Vivimos en el número 2 de Mornington Crescent como podéis ver en la foto.

Vivimos con una señora mayor. Es muy amable.

Hey, there! Marta and I are now living in a town called Bognor Regis. It’s small and calm but really nice. On Saturday we went for a walk and we saw the park, the university, lots of shops, the train station and…the sea!! Isn’t it great?

¡Hola! Marta y yo estamos ahora viviendo en una ciudad llamada Bognor Regis. Es pequeña y tranquila pero muy bonita. El sábado fuimos a dar un paseo y vimos el parque, la universidad, muchas tiendas, la estación de tren y… ¡el mar! ¿No es genial?
